L'initiative populaire a la teneur suivante:

La constitution fédérale est complétée comme il suit:

Art. 32^quinquis (nouveau)

¹La publicité pour les boissons alcooliques et pour leurs marques est interdite; il en va de même pour les prestations de services et les marchandises qui leur ressemblent ou font penser à elles par le texte, l'image ou le son. La législation fédérale peut autoriser des exceptions limitées dans des cas particuliers.

²La publicité pour les boissons sans alcool doit être clairement reconnaissable comme telle.

Dispositions transitoires

¹L'interdiction de la publicité visée à l'article 32^quinquies, entrera en vigueur au plus tard trois ans après l'acceptation de cette disposition constitutionnelle.

²Les violations de l'interdiction de la publicité seront punies, jusqu'à l'entrée en vigueur de dispositions pénales fixées par la loi, conformément à l'article 57, 2^e alinéa, lettre a, de la loi fédérale sur l'alcool.
