La constitution fédérale est complétée par l'article 51 ci-après:

Art. 51

L'Eglise et l'Etat sont complètement séparés.

Dispositions transitoires

¹Un délai de deux ans, à compter de l'entrée en vigueur de l'article 51 de la constitution, est accordé aux cantons pour la suppression des rapports existant entre l'Eglise et l'Etat.

²Dès l'entrée en vigueur de l'article 51 de la constitution, les cantons ne peuvent plus percevoir d'impôts ecclésiastiques.
