L'initiative populaire a la teneur suivante:

La constitution fédérale est modifiée comme il suit:

Art. 24decies, 2e al., lettres c et g

2La Confédération édicte des prescriptions concernant l'utilisation du patrimoine germinal et génétique humain. Elle veille par là à assurer la protection de la dignité humaine, de la personnalité et de la famille et se conformera notamment aux principes suivants:

  1. la procréation hors du corps de la femme est interdite;

  1. l'utilisation de gamètes de tiers à des fins de procréation artificielle est interdite.
